Fishing vessels

MacGregor focuses on complete electric or hydraulic deck handling solutions for the fishery segment related to Trawlers, Purse Seiners, Service Boats for Fish Farmers and Live Fish Carriers.

MacGregor Fishery and Research Services, the OEM of the RAPP and TRIPLEX brands, has been sharing engineering technology for many years. When we develop hydraulic or electrical equipment for the fishing fleet, we base the technology on the same experiences, philosophy and reliability that have stood us in good stead over the years. This is in accordance with clear requirements and feedback from the fishing fleet.

MacGregor, (RAPP brand) is one of the largest suppliers of electric or hydraulic Deck Handling Solutions, and has delivered deck machinery to more than 1500 different vessels around the world. MacGregor (TRIPLEX brand) is a trendsetter and has been a market leader in deck cranes, net cranes, sink line stackers, cork line stackers and net winches for fishing vessels since 1964.

Research vessels

MacGregor, the OEM of the RAPP and TRIPLEX brands, has been producing high-quality deck equipment solutions for Research Vessels since the 1970s. We focus on complete deck machinery solutions for Oceanographic Vessels, Fishery Research Vessels, Polar Icebreaker Vessels, Coastal Research Vessels and Geological Research Vessels.

The company has a strong position as a supplier of this type of equipment, and in the last decades in particular has been the leader of the highly sophisticated and demanding Research Vessel market globally.

Today we provide the latest cutting-edge technology for all kinds of Research operations at any water depth. Most, and all systems delivered in the last decade are with electric drive.

Our knowledgeable staff and Global Network of engineers are dedicated to provide the support you need for a seamless operation. 

Our Service Hub, Averøy, Norway:
We offer a “One Stop Shop” including assembly, overhauls, welding, surface treatment and machining of parts next to our deep water quay.

• We have a team of experienced Service Technicians available to assist around the world at short notice.
• We can offer yearly inspections of all our products in addition to certified personnel to do 5-yearly inspections on cranes.

• We have all kinds of spare parts for the MacGregor, RAPP and TRIPLEX brands for the Fishery, Research and Offshore equipment
• We have more than 6000 unique articles/parts at our warehouse in Averø.
