Side loading is an efficient way to load or discharge unitised cargo, pallets and paper rolls is by the shortest possible path to recude the turn around in harbour.
Side Mover
The MacGregor side mover system has SWLs for one lift range from 2–8 tonnes. The system is ideal for smaller dry cargo ships and offers the possibility of tandem operation of the lifts for handling long cargo.
The side mover has a fixed guiding column for the lift. The lift comprises a wheel frame with an articulated lever system between the frame and the platform.

The MacGregor side loading conveyor system has a SWLs range from 6–20 tonnes.
The system offers the possibility of installing an outer platform that can be used for larger tidal variations and is also ideal for reefer ships.

Ramp solution
The MacGregor Ramp system offers a reliable and robust loading system for variating quay heights.
The Ramp can be adjusted to different height levels enabling forklifts to load directly onto the lifting platforms serving the different decks in vessel cargo space.
